Television here is my spin……
My family got our first TV in 1965 after I was born, my 14 year old sister was upset that I didn’t have to wait for TV.
My first memories of TV, was watching our cat watch TV The moon landing July 20th 1969 in black & white on a Philips TV.
After all they had been going to the neighbors for years to watch Coronation St.
1974 My brother-in-law wins a colour TV with a wired remote on a long lead, we all watched the Commonwealth games held in Christchurch in Colour WOW……..
Other Memories on my TV diet of UK and American programs was going to my friends Jeff’s place to watch Dr Who in colour TV.
Dr Ropata returns! Temurea Morrison Returns to Shortland Street.
Sorry didn’t ever think I would have something from Shortland St here.
“Yes I know I here you say” I know I have been through the Studio’s on a couple of private tours. I admit I did enjoy it.
But Lance Dunne on More FM came up with a real goodie on the drive home tonight you know the line
“You’re not in Guatemala now, Dr. Ropata.”
But Lance said that the writers should bring him back like this……..
A guy comes in a Jango /Boba Fett costume and takes off the mask and we hear someone say
“You’re not in Star Wars now, Dr. Ropata.”
